I made six (adorable) Christmas dessert plates a few months back but needed to complete the whole ensemble for Christmas this year. So I started out with red plastic chargers. (I also bought lime green in case my tastes change next year.) Then basic (read: white, rimmed) dinner plates with my hand-painted dessert plates on top. And to top it off, I found red glittery bows.
On each end of the table, I did something just a bit different. I put a white soup bowl on top of the dessert plates and then red, glittery ornament balls in the bowl.
I really like how it turned out. Any ideas for how I could add a little extra "wow"???

I love your plates that you made! So cute! I have some Fiesta plates that resemble your Christmas lights plate. I love them.
I would probably add a lime green napkin down the center, folded small, under the ribbon. But, it's really quite lovely as is. =)
