Cupcake Carnival: I Dream of Dreamcakes

In February, I shared my adventures in decorating my mom's birthday cake with the assistance of a cake-decorating class at my local cupcake hot spot: Dreamcakes. It was no masterpiece, but, hey - let's be honest. It's cake. We'd all (still) eat it, right? :)

Since Cupcake Carnival is all about sharing anything and everything cupcakes, I wanted to be sure to share my hands-down most favorite cupcake place on the face of the planet. (And I've been to quite a few of them for comparison. -- These hips don't lie.)

Wanna see why I like it so much?

It's a precious shop. With the most friendly staff and delicious-smelling air.

This is their Stupid Cupid flavor. Strawberry cake, chocolate ganache filling, chocolate buttercream, topped with a chocolate-dipped strawberry.

This flavor: 14 Hours. (Probably the number of hours I'd have to spend on the treadmill to burn it off. But so worth it 'cause...) It is chocolate cake, creamy cherry filling, topped with real whipped cream, chocolate shavings and a cherry.

Bury me with this one. Heaven won't be complete without it. Curious George: Banana cake with peanut butter frosting, topped with candy bananas.

The Neapolitan: Strawberry cake, vanilla buttercream, strawberry frosting, and chocolate frosting on top.

And this is their theme, which kind of explains my life. :)

I bet you're dreaming of Dreamcakes now, right? So tell me - do you have any favorite local cupcake shops around you? If so, create a post about it and share it with others here. I'm dying to know all about them!
