New in the Store!

Did you see my announcement last week? (If you didn't, you can see it here.) We opened an Etsy store - Sweet Begonia!! And we sold out of all our canvases! Thank you!!! We've been at work on more (and different!) canvases.

Take a look! And then go see everything we've put up in the store today.

We added our medium canvas option. These canvases are 24" x 20" with a 5/8" canvas profile.
Our orange background is the perfect partner to navy blue.
These fun 12" x 12" canvases are ideal for offices, small spaces, or on the table at a tailgate.

We look forward to sending a canvas to you very soon!

Say hello to Sweet Begonia!

Mom and I have opened our Etsy store, Sweet Begonia! It launched with six canvases Sunday night. We have one remaining. We couldn't be more excited that you all love the paintings. We also couldn't be more excited that we're going to be very, very busy in the coming months!

If you're looking to buy one and the shop looks a little empty, know that we're both working night and day to add more and different paintings. New batches go up in the store early on Monday mornings. We're brainstorming lots of different paintings--for every team, city, region, state, etc. I'll be sure to share them here, too. (If you have a request, please email us at attemptingcreative at hotmail dot com. We'll work with you to get something special created.) Meanwhile, thank you for your support as we worked to get this project off the ground. We're very excited, and we hope to send you a beautiful canvas painting of your very own soon!

Football Fare

Check out all these fancy football treats. You can never go wrong with a football-shaped cheese ball. (Well, maybe you can...)

Sweet-Spicy Deviled Eggs from Southern Living

No party is complete without a tray full of Pigs-in-a-Blanket. Check out Martha's take on the classic.

These Mini-Cheeseburgers from Southern Living are too cute to resist -- and perfect snacking size!

Like I said, no football party is complete without a Cheesy Football. This is a good one from Kraft.

Cute Keychains

I have been carrying my Auburn keychain around for a few years. I love it, and like-hearted fans always notice it and ask where I found it.

But these great keychains from littlehappys on Etsy caught my eye. They'd make great gifts for the football fan on your list this holiday season.

Shopper's Alert: Stephanie at Little Happys is offering attempting creative readers a 20 percent discount on any one item per transaction! Just be sure to mention this blog in the "to seller" section at checkout. And be sure to give her positive feedback when your keychains arrive!

Let the games begin!

As my Alabama readers will know, this week is Thanksgiving. But more importantly, this week is the IRON BOWL!!!!

So in honor, this week at attempting creative is dedicated to football.

For the scrapbookers among us, adorable die cuts of your little fans from ScrapHouseDesigns over at Etsy.
